Thanks for stopping by the Earthen Warehouse site.
The concept of the Earthen Warehouse has emerged and grown over the past 30 years as I’ve walked through life as a senior pastor, a mortgage broker, a worship & technology director, and through it all, a worshiper. I invite you to use the Earthen Warehouse as a resource in teaching, leading worship, coaching, and consulting.
While working in Des Moines for a major mortgage broker in 2007, the Earthen Warehouse began to take shape as I identified a local need for lead worship consulting. It began with several local churches and in 2009, I was approached by Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of Urbandale to work with their contemporary service band vocalists. Shortly thereafter, I took on the role of Director of Worship at Gloria Dei with the intent that some day, I could use my skills for the Church at large.
Unconfined to the four walls of the church, I've continued to build relationship with the creative community outside of the church which I affectionately call the 515 (the Des Moines area code). With one foot on the street and the other in the local church, I continue to be a bridge builder in my communities whether within the local church or larger Des Moines area.
In 2014, I decided to establish an online presence through this website, as a way to further connect with the creative community and offer my experience and expertise to others. I’m having a blast getting to know people I've never met before, passing on lessons learned along the way from some very patient people, and discovering the beauty of great diversity within the creative community as well as the leadership who guides them.
Let’s start a conversation. Feel free to reach out and contact me.
